Mechanics

Fixed scarecrow-looking target to compare weapon damage, skills, and item effects. Attack one Training Dummy installed in the world to start measuring on the panel above it.

Read the damage panel

Before the first hit, the panel shows “Attack to measure DPS”. During the test, it displays DPS, total damage, number of hits and session time. Effects from items that record damage also go into this counter.

The panel belongs to the doll: it adds up the damage of everyone who attacks it. To measure your own equipment, use a dummy without other players attacking and maintain similar conditions between tests.

Training sessions

The first instance of positive damage starts the session. After 5 seconds without damage, “session ended” appears and the result remains visible; the next stroke starts a new measurement.

DPS is the total damage divided by the session time, with a minimum interval of 1 second. As you attack, time continues to advance; when closing, the result uses the interval until the last stroke.

Compare equipment

Weapon strikes consider damage, elemental conversion, crits, and applicable damage modifiers. Damage from compatible item effects can also contribute, including the Pillar of Judgment.

Hit calculation does not apply a creature's defenses. Use the result to compare tests on the same target; Damage against a hunt or boss depends on the defenses and conditions of that encounter.

The doll remains motionless, does not attack or die. Slowness, freeze, stun, and knockback do not move the target. It does not generate kills to carry effects that depend on deaths.

Doll administration

The /pve dummy commands require the inscripted.admin permission. /pve dummy [distance] places a training dummy in front of the administrator; /pve dummy remove removes the nearest one within 6 blocks.

/pve dummy report shows your personal damage record for training dummies. /pve dummy reset clears only this personal record; the shared panel continues its session.
